I went out to the garden this morning and had a pleasant surprise.....well, several, actually. I hadn't been out there in a few days due to rain and I found several goodies today.
We have some volunteer sunflowers growing in our garden from last years flowers and the one in the bottom photo is blooming. It's so pretty, makes me smile! I even pulled it up and replanted it because it was growing in my peas. I'm glad that it survived the transplant.
I found some little red cherry tomatoes and one bigger red tomato. Not enough to do much with except maybe a salad. But, yummy! I can't wait for more!
We have a few green beans ready to pick on our small plants.....I'd better pick them before they get too big.
We've planted peppers before and they didn't really do much, but this year they seem to be doing well. These are jalapeño peppers and they are looking pretty good.
The pepper plants are still small but they have several peppers on them and I'm very happy with the way they are growing.
My garden is growing nicely....especially after I've gotten most ohey weeds out! I can't wait to enjoy the fruits of my labor!Keeping Things Fun!
