Lavender oil is good for repelling insects.
Tea Tree oil is good to use for antibacterial and fungicide.
Lemon, Orange or Tangerine is good for grease cutters.
You can get essential oils on amazon.com as I'm sure you can several other places. I will be making my own laundry soap and cleaners over several weeks and will be using some of these oils. If you want to stalk up on the ingredients you will need for each cleaner and make them along with me, here is a list of what you'll need:
Borax laundry booster
washing soda
Castile soap (both liquid and bar) or a laundry bar soap (I used Fels-Naptha)
ammonia
baking soda
distilled water
white vinegar
apple cider vinegar
salt
lemon juice
olive oil
and essential oils
The Naptha soap, borax, washing soda should be in the laundry isle at the store. These are the ingredients for making powder laundry soap, which is what I'm making first. I hope you'll join in and let me know what you think after using each cleaning product!!
